RECONSTRUCTIVE AND COSMETIC SURGERY

Reconstructive surgery can also be called orthognathic surgery. These procedures are performed when several conditions exist: misaligned jaws, breathing problems, chronic jaw or TMJ pain, protruding jaw and open bite. In these cases, the surgeon will correct these conditions using various surgical techniques.

Cosmetic surgery is performed to improve the overall appearance of an individual. Unwanted facial features and aging are among the conditions treated by oral surgeons.
